In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces have regained the initiative, decisively repelling a new Russian mechanized assault aimed at securing positions around Terny and advancing towards the town of Lyman. After previous attacks along two parallel tree lines were blocked, Russian forces shifted to a third attack vector near Yampolivka, hoping to exploit high ground and avoid Ukrainian counterattacks. However, Ukrainian forces, leveraging superior reconnaissance and FPV drone capabilities, intercepted the Russian advance early on.
